I've worked as an advisor, manager, and director of wealth management, so I know the ins and outs of the industry. Now, as a self-employed professional, I offer a unique service that combines financial planning and real estate. My clients get the best of both worlds with real estate investment strategies, tax planning, and financial planning. In addition, I provide career development help like job placement, LinkedIn profile makeovers, interview prep, and resume writing. I'm passionate about helping people reach their wealth goals and making the process as smooth as possible.
Sharing my expertise with fellow real estate agents is something I truly enjoy. Providing them with the guidance and information they need on their own wealth-building journeys is incredibly rewarding. Beyond work, I’m deeply committed to community service and enjoy giving back through nonprofit work. My passion for sports has led me to work in the baseball industry and venture into the sports tech space as a venture capitalist. Everything I do is driven by a desire to make a positive impact and help others achieve their dreams.
MY JOURNEY FROM FINANCE TO REAL ESTATE
Let’s start with a chuckle, shall we? I embarked on my financial planning career in 2008. Yes, you read that right. The year of the Great Recession. Talk about impeccable timing! While everyone else was trying to keep their heads above water, I was diving headfirst into the world of finance and real estate. I must have had a thing for challenges.
As I navigated the choppy waters of wealth management, I noticed something intriguing. There was a massive, gaping hole between financial planning and real estate. People were either on one side of the bridge or the other, but rarely did they realize how beautifully the two could complement each other.
So, I rolled up my sleeves, donned my hard hat, and set out to build that bridge.
I started investing in real estate myself, learning the industry's ins and outs and discovering how diversifying between the stock market and housing could be a game changer. It was like piecing together an intricate puzzle, and I was determined to fit every piece perfectly.
Climbing the corporate ladder in wealth management was no small feat. I earned one promotion after another, bagging awards along the way. Yet, despite my success, something felt off. I knew I had more to offer. Plus, being a W-2 employee with over a decade of planning and tax law knowledge wasn’t exactly propelling my own financial plan to new heights.
After one final stint as a director of wealth management, I saw the writing on the wall. It was time to ditch the suit and tie and make a real difference. I bid farewell to the corporate world and threw myself into bridging the gap between real estate and wealth management.
Becoming self-employed was a game changer. Not only did I enjoy massive tax savings, but I also created something unique—a seamless experience that melds financial planning and real estate like never before. My clients received unparalleled value and service, and I extended the same financial planning expertise to real estate agents.
After nearly 8 years with a 100% brokerage, I knew it was time for a change. Despite presenting innovative ideas to leaders within the brokerage, I always hit a wall. The 100% brokerage model had its limits, and I needed something more. After several conversations with leaders at Real Broker, I realized I had found my new home.
